  2. Definition of religion and defense

  4. Definition of Religion:

  6. Religion is norms,values, or a way of life to an individual or community.  A
  7. spiritual guide that governs the way a person lives from day to day by giving
  8. that person hope, belief, and reason to exist in this world.  Religion can be
  9. whatever that person makes of it.   Religion can  be a persons assets,
  10. family, or other individuals or possessions, it can be many things besides
  11. worship to a "God" or "Deity".  It can be whatever a person deems holy or
  12. sacred.

  17. "Religion is norms, values, or a way of life to an individual or community".

  19. This can be defended by taking a look at they way most religious people live.
  20.  Many people live accordingly to there religions rules and regulations.  This
  21. includes Buddhists, Muslims, Mennonites, and Amish just to point out a few.
  22.  Not only in dress and in possessions but people who respect their religions
  23. live by their religion's rules.

  27. Religion can give an individual codes to live.  It can give a person hope,
  28. belief, and a reason to exist by making the individual feel loved or cared
  29. about by their religion or their religious deities.  It can also give them
  30. hope and belief by feeling included within a group of individuals that share
  31. their same views.  By giving them a reason to exist religions give an
  32. individual something to look forward to after death and purpose for being on
  33. earth.

  35. "Religion can be whatever a person makes of it.  Religion can be a persons
  36. assets, family, or other individuals and possessions, it can be many things
  37. besides worship to a "God" or "Deity"."  
  38. Religion can mean different things for different people.  It can be a rich
  39. mans money, poor mans shelter, a mad mans weapons.  Many people or cultures
  40. worships numerous "gods" for different occasions.  Some people worship the
  41. earth or animals while many other individuals worship other "people" or
  42. "mortals".  A persons religion can be what they make it.

  44. "It can be whatever a person deems holy or sacred."  
  45. By determining what is holy or sacred to the individual they can choose to
  46. make that their religion.  Whether it be a feeling of enlightenment or a
  47. persons bank account,  the individual has the right to make what they
  48. consider holy their religion.  Not saying it is wrong or right because it is
  49. all based on a matter of opinion and belief.  Much like my definition of
  50. religion.
